  • METHOD:
  • GET

  • FORMAT:
  • JSON

    JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is a lightweight data-interchange format. It is easy for humans to read and write.
    It is easy for machines to parse and generate. It is based on a subset of the JavaScript Programming Language, Standard ECMA-262 3rd Edition - December 1999

  • URL PARAMETERS FOR EACH FUNCTION:

  • 1. all genes

  • Url for function:
  • /api/all_genes:?parameter1=& parameter2=

  • Required parameters:
  • organism_id=[integer]

    search=[alphanumeric]

  • Notes:
  • example: list of all Ciona robusta genes
  • /api/all_genes:?organism_id=464

  • example2: list all genes starting with 'fox'
  • /api/all_genes:?organism_id=464&search=fox

    2. all genes by stage

  • Url for function:
  • /api/all_genes_by_stage:?parameter1=& parameter2=

  • Required parameters:
  • organism_id=[integer]

    stage=[alphanumeric]

  • Notes:
  • example: list of all Ciona robusta genes expressed at stage 9.
  • /api/all_genes_by_stage:?organism_id=464&stage=stage_9

    when defining stage keep this form [stage_#] , where # is a stage number.

    3. all genes by stage range

  • Url for function:
  • /api/all_genes_by_stage_range:?parameter1=& parameter2= & parameter3=

  • Required parameters:
  • organism_id=[integer]

    start_stage=[alphanumeric]

    end_stage=[alphanumeric]

  • Notes:
  • example: list of all Ciona robusta genes expressed between stages 0 and 9 .
  • /api/all_genes_by_stage_range:?organism_id=464&start_stage=stage_0&end_stage=stage_9

    when defining stage keep this form [stage_#] , where # is a stage number.

  • Cache notice:
  • If the previous function all_genes_by_stage is slow, by running this function with parameters start_stage=0 and end_stage=49 you can generate the cache for this and the previous function.

    4. all genes by territory

  • Url for function:
  • /api/all_genes_by_territory:?parameter1=& parameter2=

  • Required parameters:
  • organism_id=[integer]

  • Notes:
  • example: list of all Ciona robusta genes expressed at A8.14 cell pair.
  • /api/all_genes_by_territory:?cell=A8.14_cell_pair&organism_id=464

    when defining the cell keep this form [A8.14_cell_pair] , this is how the data is annotated if you just write 8.14 it will not work.
